The painting represents the Ipatiev House (Дом Ипатьева) in Yekaterinburg. This is the historic building where Tsar Nicholas II, his family, and their servants were held and executed in 1918. The Artist was Ivan Kirillovich Slyusarev (Иван Кириллович Слюсарев), a Ural landscape painter (1886–1962), Year of creation: 1925 – painted seven years after the Romanov family’s execution. Source

Ships were brought back from the Atlantic to the shores of the metropolis, anchoring in Cardiff, Newcastle upon Tyne, Aberdeen, and so on. Armed patrols appeared in the cities. Even armored vehicles were deployed on Oxford Street in London. Source
