Gaza Boom: The New York Times — Taking Journalistic Fraud to a New Level

to Ethan Bronner’s rose-tinted claims, this is Gaza today. See if you

On June 26, 2011, in what is certain to be recorded as one of the century’s greatest journalistic frauds, the NYT ran a story by Ethan Bronner on the “Building Boom in Gaza”. The article is almost breathless in its description of Gaza’s “economic boom”. This, in all its richness, extends even to excesses such as construction of “a three-story, $2 million wedding hall” and two new “luxury hotels” for the discerning traveller. We’re told that “thousands of new cars” are on the roads, with huge demand for expensive autos. Hundreds of BMWs and other vehicles stream in and, even though they’re “driven through Egypt and sold via the unmonitored tunnels”, everyone in Gaza will soon have his or her own BMW. On the construction side, yet another shopping mall is opening, and hundreds of homes and two dozen schools are about to go up.

An architect and designer claims to have ten mid-rise residential projects under way, and that Gaza has 130 engineering and design firms, all of which are busy. We’re told that “yesterday alone” Gaza launched 12 new projects for paving roads, wells and gardens. It tells us the blockade is over, and that for the past year, Israel has allowed most everything into Gaza. And even when the blockade was in full force, “3,000 tons a day” of all goods bought legally in Egypt, were smuggled through the hundreds of tunnels in double shifts, day and night. It tells us Palestine is experiencing a great period of economic growth, with nearly 1,000 factories operating and unemployment sharply dropping to “only” 25 percent.

Agriculture too, is prospering. A Hamas-run farm is producing so much fruit that imports from Israeli are cancelled.And, as a tribute to Jewish generosity, this farm is located on former Jewish settlement land – but was given to Hamas (yes, that Hamas – the terrorist one) with an open heart. But we needn’t have worried because Gaza “has never been” among the world’s poorest places, its conditions never comparable sub-Saharan Africa. Health Care, Social policies and Education are exceptional, with universal literacy. Health conditions better than much of the developing world.

We’re told Gaza has very low rates of infant mortality (except for the hundreds of Palestinian children targeted by Jewish soldiers), a 100 percent vaccination rate, and no polio, measles, diphtheria or AIDS, and has never had a cholera outbreak. It is so heartening to hear the Israeli government tell us that “Gaza is doing just fine”. And we’re so pleased that the Israeli policy (toward Palestinians) is both “humane and appropriate”. We can keep in mind that the owners, executives, editorial staff, most columnists and staff would read like a Who’s Who of New York Jewish society, but even so, this outrageous article staggers the mind. Gaza is a human tragedy almost beyond description, a military quarantine zone, a filthy concentration camp, unfit even for rats. The Israeli Jews totally control the perimeter, and no free travel in or out by any Palestinian without “permission”. Palestinians, very often including children, are beaten on entry and exit.
And of course, no Gaza story would be complete without evidence of the “humane and appropriate” treatment of civilians by Netanyahu. Here, two small Palestinian children are burning to death, following the phosphor bombardment by Jewish soldiers on the UN school in Gaza. Source
They have virtually destroyed the Gaza University, and recently destroyed two UN schools, killing hundreds of Palestinians including children. They have targeted the police stations, the public security offices, the property and other records locations. Anything that will help to eviscerate the fabric of Palestine civilisation. And every factory and portion of infrastructure. There is no shortage of documentation from the UN, many human rights groups and even from many Israeli citizens about the poverty and horror of Gaza. But Messrs. Bronner and Sulzberger, and the NYT would like to defraud the world in advance of the new flotilla. And their cowardice in refusing reader posts on this disgusting article, is telling in itself.

It is incredible, almost inconceivable, that human beings could write and publish such a reprehensibly false article. It is almost impossible to imagine the kind of deranged minds and morally deformed people who would make such claims as the NYT and Ethan Bronner have made. But much of the world is no longer feeling guilty or afraid, or even hesitant, to speak out against the blind savagery and, sadly, the incessant and unforgiveable lies, of God’s Chosen People. It is my view that these people at the NYT, and all the people like them, have converted possibly untold millions of people from Israel’s friends to active enemies wanting the Jews’ total removal from the Middle East.
And I know, because I’m one of them. I am all for the UN declaring the foundation of the State of Israel in Palestine to have been a badly-failed Imperial experiment, a disaster.It should be ended by cancelling Israel’s charter in Gallilee and transporting all the Jews to Uganda (their first choice, after all) where they can build a new homeland without wanting to kill everyone around them.One condition: this time, they have to PAY for every square meter of land they want.

The restaurant shown above is the Cactus Club, which existed in Gaza before all the Jews were moved out of Gaza. But the Cactus Club is a Jewish multi-national restaurant chain, and only Jews were permitted into this club in Gaza, so the picture is real but the story is a lie.
