Korea had been occupied by Japan for 35 years, but after being “liberated” by the US after World War II it was immediately divided, with the South controlled by a fascist dictatorship installed by the US military occupation. In many parts of the South, the Korean people openly rebelled against the US puppet dictator Syngman Rhee who was ruthless in suppressing dissent. Mass murder and torture were commonplace. Rhee slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Koreans with the full knowledge and support of American military “advisers”. When the North attempted a re-unification of their country, Rhee carried out a long series of massacres of anyone in favor of a united Korea and, under the watchful eye of his US masters, slaughtered tens of thousands of political prisoners held in jails.

Dr. Leonard Horowitz, the famed pharma industry whistleblower, quoted one expert as saying he would plan a bio-attack “with subtle finesse, to make it look like a natural outbreak. That would delay the response and lock up the decision-making process. Even if you suspect biological terrorism, it’s hard to prove. It’s equally hard to disprove. Population reduction in the Third World and untraceable ethnic cleansing. You can trace an arms shipment, but it’s almost impossible to trace the origins of a virus that comes from a bug.” I would suggest noting his emphasis on ‘population reduction in the Third World’. The next item was a statement by someone clearly with experience who suggested the choice method of eliminating targeted populations would employ combinations of biological and chemical agents (i.e., the mycoplasma that caused the Gulf War Syndrome), which would “make diagnosis and treatment of these multiple simultaneous infections difficult, if not impossible”, adding that this kind of biochemical warfare cannot be traced to its source and might be considered an “act of God”.

Operation Northwoods was a proposal for a series of false-flag operations that originated within the United States government in 1962, the documentation of which had been kept secret for nearly 40 years. The US Joint Chiefs of Staff presented an elaborate document in which they unanimously proposed that CIA operatives commit state-sponsored acts of terrorism both within the US against American citizens and externally, that were to be blamed on Cuba in order to create public support for a war to oust Fidel Castro from power. The author of the plan was General Lyman Lemnitzer, who was at the time the nation’s highest ranking military officer.

We tend to think of biological and/or chemical warfare in simple terms within a simple framework, which tendency leads us to misunderstand much of what happens around us and to mis-categorise many world events. Usually, when contemplating this subject, we imagine the use of these agents in times of war (hot or cold), perhaps picturing armies using mustard gas or the US spraying Agent Orange over most of Vietnam. Or perhaps we picture the US inflicting biological pathogens in North Korea (as it did), or dispersing swine flu in Cuba and China (as it also did). In any case, we normally imagine these events to involve one nation acting against another.
