There are only two nations in the world whose
existence seems to be founded primarily on historical myths. In the US, false
historical mythology permeates every nook and cranny of the American psyche,
the result of more than 100 years of astonishing and unconscionable programming
and propaganda, a massive crime against an entire population. This condition
pertains not only to past events we think of as history, but to the extent that
most items permitting Americans to “feel good by being an American” are
fabricated Disney fairytales. This essay is a brief introduction to only a
minor aspect of this subject.
In the introduction to my series of books (soon to be
published) I wrote that “Perhaps 90%, or even 95%, of everything we know, or
think that we know, or that we believe to be true about history, is wrong. To
express this another way, if we were to take the history of the entire world
for the past 500 years and compress it into a book of 100 pages, a full 50 of
those pages would be blank. That is the extent to which our true history has
been suppressed, entirely deleted from the record and from our consciousness.
Of the remaining 50 pages, 45 are false in whole or in part, photoshopped,
sanitised, twisted, and with critical details omitted to deliberately lead the
public to the wrong conclusions.”[1]
